Charles Dorta's Profile and Contact Information

Charles Dorta grew up here in Naples Fl and attended Naples Park Elementary, Pine Ridge Middle School and St John Neumann High School. He is an active member of St Agnes Catholic Parish along with his wife and two daughters. Following college, Charlie worked in another industry until he reached that age when he began to rethink priorities and listen to some wisdom. At that point he was guided by his rock, Dad, to rejoin the insurance industry as an agent, but not as a captive agent as he was, but as an independent.

Taking some time to finish the required schooling and licensing Charlie was privileged to be introduced to Mr Bob Wright. Bob gave Charlie his start in the independent world and we are grateful to him to this very day. You see Bob understood that Charlie wanted to learn all he could in order to open his own agency IN THE SAME TOWN. Yet Bob still hired him. Who would do that? In his agency, Charlie was exposed to many things in our industry as it was a very busy and dynamic period of time and it was a small and intimate agency at the time. "I would never have learned so much if I had worked in one of the larger places, they'd have put me in a cubical and that'd be it..." Bob was very generous with his time as were his co-workers, it was a great place to start. Then on 09/06/2006 we launched Heritage Insurance Agency.

Since that time we have seen storms, elections, real estate crashes, cancer (close family), deaths, births, and now a global pandemic. Well the worst was the death of Tony Dorta, Charlie's Dad, this year. In all the events of the past 15 years that has been the toughest for him to endure as stated earlier, he was his rock. Like all of the other challenges though, we must push on, his Dad would not want anything different then to move on joyfully.... knowing that God has us all in the palm of His hand guiding and protecting us. He's got this.

Fun fact about Charlie- He was well on his way to competing for the Naples, FL heavyweight Sumo wrestling championship until he recently contracted a tapeworm leading to a debilitating weight loss thereby taking him out of contention. Tragic...
